Charity Partnership

Each year, Crossling Ltd choose to support a charity through a number of fundraisers and events.

For 2020, we are supporting Cardiac Risk in the Young – a very worthy charity who support those who have been affected by a young person’s sudden cardiac death. Along with offering emotional and clinical support, C.R.Y. aims to prevent further deaths through fundraising events, a comprehensive research program and free screening for young people. Afterall, these conditions can be treated if found early. You can find more information on their work here.

We’re holding a number of fundraising events for C.R.Y. throughout 2020, following on from our hugely successful fundraisers thus far, such as our Christmas Jumper Day in our Newcastle branch raising an impressive £108, along with plumbers’ nights in North Tyneside and South Tyneside raising a fantastic £400 and £160 respectively.

The next event which we shall be taking part in is the 3rd CRY North Tyneside Seaside Walk, with members of the Crossling team having the opportunity to walk from Tynemouth to Whitley Bay (and back again!) on Sunday 26th April 2020, organised by David Jewell. Participation in this event is free and open to all – a suggested donation can be made to David’s cause here.

Commercial sales manager, Les Ferguson, acts as our company contact for CRY related news;

“After experiencing first hand cardiac issues in my daughter, it is so important to raise the awareness in the young of potential life-threatening dangers that may be unknown. CRY offers screening and support to families who have suffered such events, or to identify and prevent sudden cardiac death.”

You can view a record of Les’ fundraising efforts, where you can also sponsor him for his participation in this years Great North Run, a challenging half marathon set to take place on the 13th September.

We encourage you to check back throughout the year for updates of our fundraising for C.R.Y. and to see what events we have planned for the future!
